Dr. Lindsey Van Duyn Named 2025 AOF National Emerging Leader
Immersive Medical Therapy is proud to share that our founder, Dr. Lindsey Van Duyn, has been recognized by the American Osteopathic Foundation (AOF) as the 2025 National Emerging Leader Award recipient.
This prestigious honor is presented annually to one exceptional physician who demonstrates an unwavering commitment to the osteopathic profession and inspires others through leadership, compassion, and innovation in patient care. Since 2002, the AOF National Emerging Leader Award has celebrated physicians whose dedication and empathy make a lasting impact on their communities and the future of medicine.
According to the AOF, National Emerging Leaders are individuals who “motivate those around them, and whose medical knowledge, combined with patient empathy, enriches the lives of those they serve.” Dr. Van Duyn’s work embodies these values through her pioneering approach to mental health treatment and wellness.
As the founder of Immersive Medical Therapy, Dr. Van Duyn integrates osteopathic principles with cutting-edge virtual reality therapy to support mental health and emotional well-being. Her commitment to compassionate care and innovation continues to push the boundaries of what’s possible in medicine—helping patients heal not only physically but emotionally and psychologically.
Dr. Van Duyn was officially recognized at the 2025 AOF Honors Gala during the OMED Conference in Nashville, Tennessee, on September 26, 2025, where she received her engraved award, designed by Tiffany & Co.
“It’s an incredible honor to be recognized by the American Osteopathic Foundation,” says Dr. Van Duyn. “This award reflects not just my work, but the collective efforts of everyone dedicated to improving patient care through innovation and empathy.”
We are inspired by Dr. Van Duyn’s continued leadership, her dedication to the osteopathic community, and her mission to make mental health care more accessible and human-centered through immersive technology.
